The artistic heart of Showman is the scenic department. With over 150 years of cumulative experience, a background in “old school” paint techniques and love of the craft, our scenics set the bar for all others. The Showman staff of artisans consistently demonstrate their ability to problem solve with new materials and new processes, a hands on approach to samples, and an ability to produce a paint technique quickly without sacrificing quality. The artistic vision of the design, as well as the nuts and bolts of any specifications are well understood whether they apply to a translucent drop, a wood grain or marble, a textural and aging approach to a Broadway set, the detail of a museum display, or the surface quality of a carving project.
